Chaa Creek Belize

Property Info
When Chaa Creek opened for business in 1981 it was the first jungle lodge in Belize and the first hotel of its kind in the small Caribbean country. They added electricity in 1987 and hot water showers in 1988 and continued to grow, and accumulate awards in the tourism industry, each year thereafter. In 1997 they expanded to 21 cottages, in 2000 they did a complete renovation of all the rooms and built a spa, and today Chaa Creek as we know it has 23 deluxe palm thatched cottages, suites and villas. Each room comes with king or queen beds, private terraces or balconies with hammocks to take in the sights & sounds of the rainforest, and open air Jacuzzis.
In addition to the luxurious accommodations, Chaa Creek is also known for its amenities and long list of available activities. You’d have to start with their 365-acre nature reserve, one of the largest privately owned reserves in the country. The reserve contains miles of trails that are perfect for hiking, mountain biking, bird watching and wildlife viewing. All stays at Chaa Creek include complimentary guided tours of their Natural History Centre & Butterfly Farm, access to their Ruta Maya hiking trails, canoeing on the Macal River, early morning bird watching with naturalist guide, and the Maya Medicine Plant Trail. Chaa Creek also features more luxurious amenities like the Hilltop Spa, a swimming pool, free wifi, and one of the best restaurants in the country.
