Located right on the canal, Pachira Lodge’s 34 acres of lush rainforest property are home to 88 guests rooms. Each of the guest rooms are nicely appointed with a king bed or two double beds, ceiling fan, and a private bathroom with hot water showers. You won’t find TV or iHomes in the rooms, that isn’t why people come here, the idea is to enjoy the exotic setting and the sounds of the jungle. Your stay here includes all meals, which are served buffet style, and wine with dinner.

The Pachira Lodge also offers its guests a nice list of amenities in addition to clean and comfortable accommodations. There are two pools, a bar, walking trails, and even a full service spa. In addition to world class tarpon fishing, guests can enjoy kayaking, birding, and incredible wildlife viewing. The 47,000 acre national park is home to crocodiles, caiman, frogs, snakes, 300 species of birds, river turtles, otters, even manatee and jaguars if you are really fortunate. The main attraction outside of fishing is of course the turtle nesting. You will be located just five minutes from the Tortuguero National Park and it’s 11 miles of protected beach where you can see three different species of sea turtles (hawksbill, green sea, and leatherback) come up and lay their eggs.
