Property Info
Tarpon Caye Lodge offers just four cabins that can host up to eight anglers. With limited group size the service and quality of your experience is much easier to manage, and you’ll feel like a guest as opposed to just another customer. The ‘Permit’ and ‘Tarpon’ cabins sit right over the water and feature two double beds, tiled floor, ceiling fans, private bath with hot water shower, and a private balcony complete with deck chairs and a hammock to soak up every second of that Caribbean goodness. The ‘Tiburon’ cabin is the only 2-bedroom unit on the island and features two double beds in each room along with two private baths, ceiling fans, and it’s own private deck. All rooms are decorated with local artwork from Placencia. After a long day of fishing you can cool off with the Caribbean breezes, then in the morning with your cup of coffee try to spot rolling tarpon or tailing bonefish and permit right from your own balcony.
Since you are 15 miles out to sea all of your meals, non-alcoholic drinks, and local rum at the lodge are already included in your package price. Tarpon Caye Lodge is all about fishing so breakfast can be quick and light to catch the tides or it can be a full sit-down breakfast with an omelette and bacon. If you want to stay out on the water all day you can have the staff pack you a lunch, or if the tides aren’t right you can come back to eat on the island and take an afternoon siesta. If any of the anglers catch grouper, snapper, or mahi – or of course lobster – the staff will be happy to prepare it for you for dinner that night. When you aren’t fishing the flats with your guide the lodge offers six complimentary Old Town Predator fishing kayaks for you feverish anglers who just can’t get enough. As is the case in most of Belize, with the crystal clear water and incredible reef life the snorkeling is some of the best in this half of the world. Finally, just in case this paradisiacal setting isn’t enough to make you unplug from the outside world Tarpon Caye Lodge does also offer complimentary wifi.
