A week long fishing trip to Panama doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. Our Affordable Panama Fishing package will have you fish the exact same spots as all the top fishing lodges, but you’ll do it at a fraction of the cost. Spend a week at our favorite boutique hotel in the Gulf of Chiriqui in Western Panama and enjoy relaxation, great service, beautiful beaches and of course a few days sport fishing. Our local charter boats will take you offshore fishing for marlin, tuna, and dorado at the famous Hannibal Bank as well as enjoy the amazing inshore fishing inside of ‘Jurassic Park’ where monster roosterfish and cubera snapper roam.

Day One
Fly into Panama City, Panama where you will be met and taken directly to your waiting private transfer. You will spend your first night in the capital where you can enjoy nightlife, casinos, and an international culinary scene in Central America’s most modern capital city. We’ll help you choose between affordable 4-star hotels or a luxury 5-star hotel so your Panama fishing vacation starts off on the right foot.

Day Two
Late in the morning we will pick you up and take you to the Albrook Airport for your domestic flight to Panama’s second largest city, David. Upon arrival you’ll be met and taken one hour to the quiet beach town of Boca Chica and the quaint Seagull Cove Lodge. Seagull Cove embraces the true meaning of the word ‘boutique’ as the staff is inviting and friendly and with just five cabanas you’ll experience the perfect mix of privacy and luxury. Each of the five rooms features a queen bed or two double beds, vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans, AC, satellite TV, private baths, orthopedic mattresses, and private terraces or balconies with beautiful ocean views.

Day Three
Let’s go fishing! Meet your boat at the dock right at the hotel early in the morning and set out to fish the Hannibal Bank. One of the world’s most well known fishing spots, the Hannibal Bank is home to a year round marlin bite and some of the best yellow-fin tuna fishing in the world. On your way out you’ll stop to fill up the tuna tubes with fresh bonito, which are tasty snacks to these giant blue and black marlin. Live bait can also be used for the larger yellow-fin tuna, but of course we know every angler wants to see them explode out of the water after a popper!

Day Four
Free day! Use this day to relax your tired muscles and enjoy the beautiful Gulf of Chiriqui. The Seagull Cove Lodge has a pool, private beach, and water toys like kayaks and stand up paddle boards to enjoy. We can also arrange ATVs or horseback riding if you want to get of the property for a bit. At sunset be sure to head to the palapa bar over the water for a cold drink and some hot BBQ.

Day Five
Let’s go fishing! Head back out to the Hannibal Bank for another day of big game fishing. Marlin are far from the only pelagic fish we see here – big Pacific sailfish, wahoo, dorado and one of the best yellow-fin tuna bites can all be enjoyed here. Smaller yellow-fin tuna in the 10-40 lb range can be caught year round, but in season you can try your hand at grappling with a 200-300 lb ‘cow’ yellow-fin tuna that has made sport fishing in Panama so popular. Be careful what you wish for however, it can be an all day event.

Day Six
Free day! Use this day to relax, read a book, and take a nap (or two!). One of our favorite tours in this area is a full day enjoying beautiful, secluded beaches on the various islands in the gulf. Home to over 200 islands, the Gulf of Chiriqui is home to some incredible beaches but they are only accessible by boat. Spend this day snorkeling and island hopping as you visit hidden gems.

Day Seven
Let’s go fishing! Today is your last day of fishing so we are going to try something different and go inshore fishing for a variety of species including snapper, grouper, mackerel, jacks, and the famous roosterfish. Fish the nearby hot spots like Islas Secas, Isla Paridas, and Isla Lardones for some of the best, and biggest, inshore fishing you are likely to experience. Whether you are slow trolling live bait, jigging, or chucking poppers you’ll be sure to enjoy epic light tackle action.

Day Eight
Take and early flight from David back to Panama City and then we’ll transfer you over to the PTY Airport for your international flight home.
