While the offshore fishing for marlin and tuna at the Hannibal Bank is world famous, the inshore fishing around the 200 islands in the Gulf of Chiriqui is just as popular and offers plenty of it’s own trophy catches. Catch over 30 different species of fish, including bone-crushing 50+ pound cubera snapper and roosterfish. Inshore Fishing at Jurassic Park is for anglers who love to cast poppers & swim baits, jig, and slow troll live bait all on light tackle. Day One
Fly into Panama City, Panama where you will be met inside the airport and escorted to the VIP Lounge for a cold drink while we get you through customs and immigration. As soon as you are ready we’ll take you downtown so you can spend your first night enjoying the modern bustling capital city. We’ll help you choose between affordable 4-star hotels or a luxury 5-star hotel so your Panama fishing vacation starts off on the right foot.

Day Two
After breakfast we will pick you up and take you to the Albrook Airport for your domestic flight to Panama’s second largest city, David, located in Western Panama. The Gulf of Chiriqui is home to Panama’s best inshore and offshore fishing so this is where you will find many of Panama’s best fishing lodges. Here we will customize your package to hand pick the best fit for your group: our exclusive luxury island fishing lodge, our affordable land-based fishing lodge, or an economical ocean-front boutique hotel. All of these options will give you access to fish the same area, we will simply hand-pick the right fit based on your group dynamics and budget.

Day Three
Let’s go fishing! Today you’ll venture into the deep water near the world famous Isla Coiba. Central America’s largest island is home in an astounding array of marine life, including 33 species of sharks and even Pacific tarpon that made their way through the canal decades ago. Troll the coastline for roosterfish and wahoo or cast into the various river mouths that empty into the ocean for big tarpon and snook. A friendly warning – just because you are in-shore fishing doesn’t mean a hungry tuna or black marlin won’t be close to shore and take your bait. Many captains and mates have stories of being surprised by catching big marlin within a couple miles from the island.

Day Four
Let’s go fishing! Head out for your first day of inshore fishing action. Let your local captain read the water and decide which way to go as the Gulf of Chiriqui offers over 2,000 sq miles of fishing grounds. Slow trolling live bait is a near guarantee for action, but jigging and popping are also incredibly exciting and productive around the over 200 rocky island found here.

Day Five
Let’s go fishing! Head a different direction and fish new islands as you cast, jig, and troll your way to some of the best light tackle action found anywhere in the world.

Day Six
Last day of fishing! If the trophy cubera or roosterfish has avoided you so far it’s time to ask your captain to take you to his favorite honey holes. While caught on a regular basis, cubera snapper and roosterfish can reach epic proportions here as several 50+ lb fish are caught each year. In Panama we do release all cuberas and roosters to ensure a healhty population for years to come.

Day Seven
We will pick you up early in the morning and bring you back to the DAV Airport so you can catch the morning flight back to Panama City. We will customize your package so you can spend one final night in Panama City or arrange your international flights so you can fly home this same day.
