Day One
Fly into Panama City, Panama where you will be met and taken directly to your waiting private transfer. You will spend your first night downtown at the TRYP Panama Centro, which is conveniently located in upscale El Cangrejo district so you are walking distance to restaurants, bars, and casinos. Enjoy an air conditioned room, rooftop pool, gym, free wifi, and buffet breakfast as you and your group settle into Panama.

Day Two
Sleep in and enjoy a buffet breakfast at the hotel, then our air conditioned van will pick you up and take you to the Albrook Airport for a quick 50-minute domestic flight over to Panama’s second largest city, David. Upon arrival you’ll be met and taken in another air conditioned van over to the Pedregal Marina just 15 minutes away where you’ll board your boat and make a scenic, hour long run out of the river and mangrove system until you reach the Pacific Ocean. Your destination is Isla Paridas and the Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge, which is located 12 miles off the coast. You’ll pull into the calm bay and be greeted by a sun-drenched beach lined with tall palm trees, then you’ll make your way over to the main lodge and enjoy a cold welcome drink. Twelve miles off the coast and in the middle of the Gulf of Chiriqui Marine National Park, you are off the grid and have no neighbors so your only task is to fish hard, relax at night, and enjoy it while you can. The SFPIL features a 2-bedroom and a 3-bedroom villa, each furnished with air conditioning, pre-stocked mini-fridges, flat screen TVs, and comfortable bedding that will give you the feeling of a luxury boutique hotel rather than an isolated fishing lodge. Top it off with Chef Erick’s delicious gourmet food and a full open bar policy and you’ll realize there simply aren’t many places like this on this Earth. Swim, kayak, fish from the rocks or just work your way through the open bar – you are in paradise now.

Day Three
Fishing day! The Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge features two of the best fishing captains in the entire country, owner & host Captain Shane Jarvis and his right hand man Capitan Juan. They fish identical 33’ World Cats which are fully equipped with outriggers, tuna tubes, twin live wells, heavy duty bean bags for comfortable runs to the fishing grounds, full boat coaming, YETI coolers to keep drinks cold, top of the line Simrad electronics and twin 300 HP Suzuki engines. Today head offshore to the Hannibal Bank and keep your eyes peeled for the site every popper addict loves to see – diving birds and schools of boiling yellow-fin tuna

Day Four
Fishing day! Head out for another full day of offshore fishing for yellow-fin at the Hannibal Bank. In addition to the World Cats being extremely fast and comfortable, the lodge is located 12 miles off the coast so your run times to the offshore fishing grounds are shorter than any other land-based lodge. The center console design of the World Cats allows for multiple anglers to be casting at the same time, and a large casting platform with lean bar on the bow is the ideal set up when fishing for tuna with top water plugs.

Day Five
Fishing day! Yellow-fin tuna are far from the only thing Panama offers when topwater fishing, the inshore fishing is every bit as good and offers plenty of behemoths to do battle with on spinning rods. Any angler who is fishing lures will get a jolt of adrenaline when they see the comb of a large roosterfish or the orange glow of an aggressive cubera snapper appear behind their popper. In addition to trophy cuberas and roosters, inshore fishing in Panama can produce 30-40 different species of fish in a week including jacks, snappers, groupers, mackerel, sea bass and more. Enjoy a full day of casting towards the rocks with your top of the line Shimano spinning tackle and 50-80 lb braid.

Day Six
Fishing day! Enjoy one final day of chucking poppers in Panama before you head home. It’s your call if you want to head back offshore and target tuna or stay inshore and try to entice a 50+ lb cubera snapper to leave the rocks after your popper. After another day of fishing come back to the lodge and enjoy fresh appetizers, cold drinks, a hot shower, and then one last three course dinner by Chef Erick.

Day Seven
You will be transferred back to David and then take a 50-minute flight back to Panama City for your international flight home. If your flight leaves early in the morning it is also possible to spend one final night in Panama City and fly home the next morning.
