Located just south of the popular port town of Golfito, the Zancudo Lodge sits near the mouth of the Golfo Dulce. Your stay at Zancudo Lodge is all inclusive, so three meals a day plus happy hour bocas are all included. Non-alcoholic drinks are available from 5:30 AM to 8 PM, while alcoholic drinks are available to enjoy from 12 PM to 8 PM.

 Luxurious accommodations aside, what sets Zancudo Lodge apart is the fishing operation itself. Their fleet of 32’ Contenders may be the fastest and best equipped boats in the country. Each one is outfitted with twin 300 HP Yamaha engines, tuna tubes, a live bait well, Rockford Fosgate audio systems for your music, and brand new Simrad HD Radar that have an incredible five mile range.  For an upgraded fishing experience, anglers can ask to fish on the owner’s new boat – a stunning 44’ Contender Z1. This boat features triple Yamaha 425’s, a tower with shaded seating underneath, a small cabin with AC to cool off, and a SeaKeeper. Of course a lodge of this caliber only fishes with the best tackle, so you’ll do battle on Okuma rods & reels, BKK hooks, tackle from big names like Squid Nation, Black Bart, and Savage Gear, and Bubba knives & gaffs for when it’s time to bring home dinner.

 The unique location of the Zancudo Lodge is a huge part of what makes it so popular. Located near the entrance of the Golfo Dulce, the fleet can reach the offshore fishing grounds in just 45 minutes.  Marlin, sailfish, mahi (dorado), and tuna are all found on a weekly basis here. The inshore fishing is just as good as the remote, rocky coastline is full of reefs, islands, and outcroppings that are home to 10-20 different species on any given week, including of course the ever-popular roosterfish and cubera snapper.  As if the combination of inshore and offshore fishing wasn’t enough, the speedy fleet at Zancudo Lodge can actually reach several FADs on day trips.

 The experience off the water at Zancudo Lodge is just as good as when you’re on it. Guests will enjoy delicious meals at the open air restaurant, The Gamefisher. Much of what you eat that week will come from their organic garden, their own organically fed pigs, or of course what you catch throughout the week. The menu was inspired by gourmet Chef Cosmo Goss, who still provides on-going training to the staff at the lodge every year. At the end of a long day, or for the non-anglers in your group, you can cool off in the large saltwater pool. There are also several eco tours available as the Southern Zone offers some of the best rainforest and wildlife in the country.
